Second that. NW Scotland is awesome, better imho than west of Ireland and driveable from Stuttgart if you want to travel like a gentleman.

Don't know what time of year you are going, but there's loads to do for a week near Dublin, stunning scenery & drives over Wicklow, horse racing at Punchestown & The Curragh in Kildare, lots of Horse Studs, The Guinness factory in Dublin, Motor Racing at Mondello Park, Kinsale near Cork for good food & they also have Jazz & food festivals etc.

I would go for the K Club as a good base & hope you are lucky with the weather, we've seen snow & also been in shorts at Easter & remember, it's green for a reason - it rains a lot. Thumbs Up

Hi a angel I live in kildare so don't be stuck if you need any help

Loads of beautiful and historic homes ( formearly owned by the brits) but now restored to American corporations , which are in turn owned by the descendants of Irish people forced to emigrate because of apartied and the mass murder inflicted for centuries and , to a lesser degree , still to this day. You can also visit many of the goals our freedom fighters were executed in and there are lots of towns that have been rebuilt courtesy of Cromwell and his ilk

All in all a treasure trove of history oh yeah , we are famous for drink as well 😀 2015 4.4 AB

Have been to Dublin more times than I can remember but cant comment on the scenery only the pubs and the craic, however can recommend NW Jockland, if the weather is with you its bloody stunning Thumbs Up

Angel , the whole county is beautiful there are great drives all around the ring of kerry with glorious views Lots to see and do for a family and I'm sure you will enjoy. Downside could be busy but no doubt you will have plenty of beach towels Rolling with laughter 2015 4.4 AB
