Gunk do an aerosol can these days, Halfords sell it, picked one up a while ago to have a bash at cleaning the engine compartment to my old Jag XJS. I haven't got around to it yet but it might be easier to get it in to all the nooks and crannies.

Kbald..its routed from under the engine..right side as you look in? Not connected to battery or airbox? |

Sorry meant diff. I'm not sure that the gearbox has a breather but I don't mind being proven wrong. |

I do believe the pipe in question is a breather pipe gearbox or Axel |

Correct that is the diff breather and would normally be routed under the plastic cover over the right hand cam cover.

It sits in the channel next to the battery cable, it is to keep it at maximum height in case anyone is daft enough to take there FF wading |
