Just had DPF warning come on my 4.4 V8 and gave gave it a bit of a thrash up the motorway keeping revs between 2000 and 3200. Cam home and warning still there. Any advice?

thats where you have gone wrong, you need to drive steadily at around 60mph for approx 10-15 minutes, .. ... - .- -.

I had to do mine just before Christmas, it was peeing down with rain at the time, I drove foe over an hour at 60mph but still stayed on.
Rain was too bad to go much faster so I dropped it down a few gears and drove it at higher Rees for 10mins and off it went.
I and thinking the exhaust was not getting hot enough as so much water splash up under the car.
I could be wrong but it's off and not been back on for a few weeks now
