Never been into watches, and the fanciest one I've ever had is my current Apple Watch. Which tells the time and let's me see who is calling etc without needing to get my phone out.

Each to their own. For me, I can't see the point of a watch which you have to plug into the mains every day to charge up. I have one which I just wear to keep it going so it doesn't need a battery. I can read it in an instant day or night without having to press a button. Its not blingy, just a beautiful piece if precision engineering.

In fairness I can understand why. Saying that. I get mine regularly serviced by the makers as they are sent back to the fàctory. As an investment. Far better than what we drive!!!! My Rolex will still fetch North of £10k. And it's a 1999 ! Tony

Servicing is the downer, you could buy an Apple watch for the cost of an Omega service, but as you say, these things hold their value.

I will admit to possibly having an obsession with watches, mainly analogue ones though I do have a couple of quartz ones which seldom get worn.

I'm not going to list them all here, it would take to long to be honest, though I have my "Good Box", containing mainly Rolex, Frank Muller and Omega, then my "Something Else Box", which consists of several Russian things and a couple of Hamiltons, and the rest hang around in drawers though seldom get used unfortunately. Sad

I tend to have a regular daily, which gets changed every month or so. Currently a BLNR (Batman) Rolex GMT, which will probably be changed for either a Sub or a Speedy after the weekend.

I've been collecting them for many years now, and they still fascinate me. Cool

All the best for the New Year guys, may it bring you health and happiness. Smile

I use Watch Doctors for servicing. Fully authorised repair centres for the major brands and Inpaid £150 for my Omega Seamaster GMT. Thumbs Up

Worth knowing, thanks. Last time it took Omega 6 weeks to do a service.

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

I get the point about plugging it in, but it's no big mither it's a magnetic charger and it's on a dock so I just hang it up at night and it charges up. Thumbs Up

Never though I would find it a game changer but it do miss it when I'm not wearing it, it does so many things. I can even pay for my lunch with it. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
