My new toy... 2008, 08 plate TDV8 Vogue. Bought it last weekend from Derby area and have put in about 250 miles so far. Currently showing 108k miles and has a full history. Has all the signs of a car that's been looked after well so I'm hoping that it will now look after me! While fuel consumption isn't a major issue for me, only does no around 5k per year, I was pleasantly surprised at 30mpg motorway cruise from Derby to Bristol and overall 25.5mpg so far (accepting the on board computer may be wildly inaccurate and it's probably much more fuel efficient than that 😂)
Plans so far; 1 Deep clean, clay bar, MOP, glaze and wax. 2. Wheels need to turn black or dark grey - opinions and photos welcomed!

I keep contemplating turning my wheels grey but not totally 100% sure.....................

Originals looks great when they are clean.

I think dark grey wheels match the dark glass area. It also helps hide the brake dust.

I do really like the wheels. Unfortunately they need refurb where the lacquer has failed and as a result I'm going to have to spend £300+ anyway to get them back to a decent condition and in all honesty the chrome is a bit bling for me!

Black probably looks better but grey is more forgiving with brake dust so I can't decide!

A mid gunmetal would look ok good, not too dark IMHO.

Could just have them refinished in sparkle silver which is what the other wheels come in. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Great looking car and whilst mine was VSE it's 1 year younger than the one I sold, PM or tell me to do one but how much did it set you back ? (interested in seeing what they are going for now.)

They are indeed Stan. I haven't been a fan of the SC sides that are part of the 2010/12 update. I retained my 3 fins and followed the factory look ala 3.6 2010 with fins. When I had the update parts off the car I threw the mirror covers and fins in the paint shop  Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........
