So a wee while back I took my 10 year old TDV8 Vogue SE in to have its front bake hose recall done. (No idea why it wasn't done 8 years ago but still!) Afterwards I asked for the Service book to be filled in and was told 'Oh no, it is all online now'. I duly insisted anyway, being old school, and I am glad I did, as having just attempted to register for the Online Service History I am told the vehicle is not eligible...too old no doubt!

So be aware older FFRR owners, your paper handbook still needs filling in...even if the LR Main Dealer says otherwise!

I always request my sevice book is updated.

I don't think you can beat having a hard copy of history to hand.

But from another point of view a service book can easily be forged by some unscrupulous people where as they would find it difficult to put false imformation on to Landrovers computer system . ( unless it was the main dealer of course )

Just registered for online service history on my 2011, sadly no previous history showing!

There will be no online history for older cars its only from the start of the new system.
