I know there's been alot of posts on this before and I've tried to follow them. I have (or should soon have) an 09 Vogue SE FFRR with rear screens. It has a CD changer.

Am I right in saying there is an official LR iPod adapter? The dealer said no but various posts on here suggest otherwise? Is it in lieu of the cd changer like the old BMW systems? Does it work through the touch screen?

I think the CD changer can play MP3s which is better than nothing but I'd prefer to use an iPod. I think there is an Aux in but iPods are so fiddly when you're driving.

yes there is an official landrover ipod dock
fits in bottom glovebox and has a changeover switch for cd so doesn't do away with cd changer.
i have one supplied by hunters guildford and works superb

Couple of things to stress.

In essence it emulates a CD changer as such you can't search the iPod or select by artist etc.

Your first 5 playlists are the first 5 CD's on the screen CD6 is everything on the iPod.

The steering wheel controls will work fine.

Your dealer is clearly a moron.

I don't have the proper iPod connector fitted, so I just plug mine into the Aux port in the rear centre console. I set a playlist going and leave it be. Does me ok. Discovery 4 HSE
