Re the latch, the two screws underneath are not immediately obvious. They are positioned well underneath securing a metal strip which is part of the lower edge of the glove box. Don't try to force anything as you will end up with a broken hinge(s).

Excellent.Obviously i have missed these two screws.Just a clarification.Order see these two screws have to remove the black plastic closing panel just above passenger's feet or not????? |

I did remove the panel. It makes access easier. John
