I then waited for 10 minutes and also disconnected battery upon reconnecting the battery I noticed my date was back to Dec 2003 how can this be if my car was manufactured back end of 2005 and when I replaced a battery on the car a few months ago the date went back to Sept 2005 which would make sense as a default setting as the car was made 2005 an ideas is this suggesting a software update or something which could cure the problem with the infotainment system I have.

I cannot turn the volume up or down on headunit I cannot select TV , CD, DVD, AUX but I can select REAR SEAT SCREENS and watch TV ,DVD on them it's just limited functions on the main unit. Also I cannot access voice recognition but I can access 4x4 info and the trip computer and the sat nav works also.
