Good morning,
I thought I'd better join this excellent forum after enjoying the massive wealth of info here over the last few weeks.
I had an '85 Classic for a year in the mid '90s until it got stolen ! After dreaming about another range I got myself a gorgeous '03 4.4 in May this year and within a week gearbox problems began, I made the purchase privately and I'm sure the seller was aware of the fault so through the tears I moved it on through eBay (advertised with fault of course).
Ok, this week I should be collecting what I really want, '07 4.2 SC, grey with black inside, it looks a stunner, the phone calls with the dealer are positive (car sounds great and he seems a genuine guy) all I need to do now is drive a few hundred miles, apply the advice found here and from my local friendly specialist and with any luck my arse will be planted in my dream car.

Evening all

Earlier this week put down a deposit on a 2004 4.4V8 but an issue with the EAS reared its ugly head when I went to collect it today, so having to wait a bit longer to become a true FFRR owner.

I'll put the story in another thread but thanks to all on the forum for the advice and hints that have been extremely useful so far.

Hope to contribute as and when time allows.
