I saw an Aintree Green with a Black Pack and dark wheels yesterday...it looked mean as hell.

A long wait will end tomorrow and I am certain, you will love the aintree green, as much as me, especially when clean and the sun striking the paintwork!

Mine will be Aintree Green and silver, but the AG and black combination is striking!

Unfortunately, today isn’t a pick up day, but my first opportunity to see it for real It should be ready, but for the final polish that should happen just before the pick up, but I’ll be taking a lot of photos and posting them up before the day’s out I’ve got side steps and mudflaps to go on just after its come home too, whichever will keep me busy!

It's funny how the specifications and colours are so similar that they look a lot more closely related than they are!

Great looking car. Green is a proper RR colour, but you don’t see it much any mire.

What do you mean by ‘waking it up’. Obviously there’s the unwrapping and any dealer installed extras, but aren’t they ready to go (except for a full tank of fuel) right from the factory?

Thanks RR2008HSE. It's an odd thing about the colour; if I look on the official used website here, it tells you how many are available in each colour and green makes up a very tiny proportion of them; I think it's the rarest shade of the lot - even though it's the original, classic, Land Rover colour.

They mentioned the car being switched into a factory sleep mode before they leave for shipping, while we were touring the Solihull plant very recently. It would appear that, while they can still be started and driven, all but the bare minimum of the car's electronics remain "asleep" to prevent the battery from being flattened if the car is in transit and/or storage for a while.

Check the tyre pressures. They make them high for transportation. My dealer forgot to correct them.

If my car’s there I’m in and you’re welcome to call by it’s always worth checking to see if the door is open and the car’s parked inside the warehouse though...

Not long now, although the time seems to passing more slowly now
