It's a big block of metal and modern diesels are quite efficient such that they don't waste much heat ... So it will take a while.

Temp gauge at about 1/4 and still not flooding the cabin with heat.

Needs to be at the half way mark really. Does it ever reach half way or does it stay at a quarter? |

It does get to half way - and heats the cabin then. Just thought it was slow to warm up inside. What do I put here then? Last edited by GAC23 on 9th Dec 2017 6:46pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Do have FBH and - as far as I can tell - it works. Will have to do a more scientific test I think. What do I put here then? |

With the TD6 it's hidden under the battery, and even with the engine running you can hear it when you get close to the near side gill.... sounds like a jet engine is lurking there! The other giveaway is the exhaust is there too, under the car, and you can often see steam rising from just behind the wheel... but only on days that you can see your breath!! Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Thank you. I’ve run the FBH some mornings to defrost the car and warm it a little.

Although mine is petrol I had a recent problem with the heater and now mine produces warm air within a couple of minutes after starting. On the diesels the fuel burning heater should kick in if the temp is below 14c to assist with warming up.
