They were pretty awesome, but then most things are at 1am!! Rolling with laughter

This was 10 years ago - like £10-15 a pint Shocked

It was an organised work trip so I don't know how relatively expensive where we went out was

Load up in duty free!

Ths might help

Wogger,
You don’t say, but I assume you are driving plus ferries??

If so please share details of your route and likely ferry costs.

I have had 2 brilliant holidays in the past in Norway when the Newcastle to Bergen ferry was running
but have still got seeing the Northern Lights on my “bucket list”.

Come to Scotland Mike, if you go to the right place, you can see them almost every night during winter (which lasts about 9 months)........assuming the clouds don't get in the way.

It's a lot closer and cheaper than Norway or Iceland!

Sorry BB, we're flying to Iceland.
I wanted to drive, but was out voted by the rest.

Anywhere north of the M8 corridor should be good because the light pollution will be less.

The farther north you go, the better the chances, but the weather can sometimes spoil things.

Usually, a high pressure weather system gives clear skies and improves your chances.
