2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Zermatt Silver

Changing the CV boot?

Had a quick look underneath for the first time and I have the front nearside cv boot throwing out grease.
Any ideas of what a good independent would charge or is it an easy job to change diy?

Local independent quoting £100 plus vat, Sounds very fair.

It is a bit of a job, you are more or less removing the hub to get it out which means tackling the lower arm joint which can give a fight, and having the right socket to undo the the drive shaft nut! and a hub puller to release the spline.

Price from Indy does seem reasonable

Worth considering other replacement parts on the hub whilst they are at it ? .

What else would you look at while it's being done?

Really it is all the joints and bushes on the hub or on the links to the front subframe. If the lower arm joint is tight (read forum member stories!), it may get knackered anyway to allow removal! .
