PHEV delivery dates - info sought

Hello

I have just been told that my new PHEV, expected round about now, is now scheduled for delivery late June..... And that none are scheduled for delivery before May.

Does anyone have any further info on this?

Thanks

Interesting. I visited the dealer today - nothing before May was the news apart from some demonstrators - maybe. Sure hope yours arrives - please let me know. Cancelled my order - will get something in the meantime until the production cycle settles down.

And I would love to know how you get on with it.

Thanks. That would be great. Bought a Mitsubishi Outlander today - keep me going until the Rangey dust settles and to give the whole PHEV thing a trial. I'll see how it goes...... Good luck with yours. Have you sorted out the home charge thing yet i.e. the rapid charger?

I already have a fast charger for my Golf, apparently it should work just the same. Although LR have provided no information despite the dealers best efforts it would seem. Everyone seems to be guessing.

Its been put back again now to 06/04 .. although it does now have a VIN, so it has been built.

No. It has been built though but every week they put the delivery date back by a week. Currently showing 04/05

I have been told it is software. Joy.

Apparently no one is getting a PHEV until May.

Subject: RE: Eligible Vehicles - OLEV home charger grant

Matt,

Thank you for your further reply. The Range Rover PHEV would not qualify for the Plug-in Car Grant as it is over the £60,000 cap. Manufacturers whose vehicles breach this cap can still opt to have their vehicles approved to the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme by submitting an application and the necessary evidence. JLR to date have not chosen to do so.

Hi Tim

Many thanks for your speedy reply.

What about the Range Rover PHEV? This is the vehicle I have purchased.

Thanks

Dear Matt,

Thank you for your email. We have not yet received an application from Jaguar Land Rover for the E-PACE to be added to the list of eligible vehicle for both the Plug-in Car Grant and Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme. Once we have received such an application and the necessary supporting evidence we will assess it and if the vehicle meets the qualifying criteria we will add the E-PACE to the lists.

Subject: Eligible Vehicles - OLEV home charger grant

Dear OLEV

I wish to enquire as to why the latest PHEV and electric vehicles from Jaguar Land Rover are not eligible for the grant you provide for the installation of home charging points (known as the OLEV grant) via an approved installer.

The installer I wish to use (chargemaster) have informed me that these vehicles are not eligible and this would seem correct as they do not feature in your published list as of February 2018.

This seems strange to me given that vehicles of equal and higher value are allowed such as the Tesla Model X and S, the Audi Q7 e-tron and the Mercedes Benz S500 Hybrid.

Please can you advise why this is the case as it is disappointing and rather ironic that cars made in the UK are not allowed.

Thank you

Matt Fairweather

Response from JLR:

Dear Matt,

Your email enquiry to OLEV regarding the wallbox grant for Range Rover PHEVs has made it through to me and my colleague Colin (CC'd).

OLEV are correct when they say that they have not received an application from us - yet.

There is a great deal of evidence required by OLEV to get vehicles listed on their register and we are currently in the final stages of pulling that required documentation together prior to submitting our application.

From what we have been told by OLEV, we do expect the Range Rover PHEVs to be admitted to the register but until we have actually submitted the application, this is still subject to approval.

We expect the Range Rover PHEVs to be admitted to the register before first customer deliveries take place.

Thanks and best regards,

Andy

Interesting. Mine’s on order as a company vehicle via a lease agent and their appointed dealer. Original delivery date was ‘mid June’ and now come forward to ‘late May’. Ordered in January. The paperwork from the lease agent makes reference to availability of Plug in EV grant!!!

So, the saga has nearly concluded. Car has been released and is in the compound. Arrives with the dealer next week. Pick up week after on the 10th of May.

Only a month after it was actually built. Banging Head
