Strange issue-tapping/knocking sound on lpg, silent on petrol

Hope someone can shed light on why my car has a tapping/knocking sound from the engine when running on petrol but as soon as I flip to petrol the knocking disappears?

It's done this for years, I always thought it was the vanos but discovered by chance it's down to the lpg. Does anyone know where on the lpg system I should be looking to fix this? I have a Romano premium system 2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 v8 LPG, Java Black, 22' Hawke Alloys, Black Beast

Probably LPG injectors, most of them have O rings in that wear or flatten over time.
If yours has always done it then it may just be that your type are noisy

What does your LPG tech say when you get the LPG system serviced annually?

I don't get the LPG serviced annually, I change the gas phase filter myself every 10k miles. Further to that as long as the system is working and there are no leaks I don't mess with it 2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 v8 LPG, Java Black, 22' Hawke Alloys, Black Beast
