How much can you do a pair of the tailgate straps for?

I'd replace as a pair, only needs to be .5mm out with a different make and you have a wonky tailgate.

Funnily enough I noticed my nearside one had broken at the weekend.
Replaced it with a new one today (eBay special, came from rimmers) and it's a different length Rolling Eyes
It's also clearly a lot thinner cable.

I rarely use the tailgate so it will do for now. Just passing the info on.
As tight777 has said either replace both or buy genuine. Lesson learnt Neutral Too many toys, not enough time
