Brilliant job keeping a Classic on the road for many years.
I wonder if I saw it running around Oldham when it was new ? (BU Reg).

Cheers Gents - This one's a keeper, previous two sold and alway regretted it. I will do another one at some point because they do get a lot easier to transform each time but not for a while yet - SWMBO has a lot of patience but there are limits!

Some of the 'barn finds' out there are total cr*p and beyond help but folks still seem to think they can ask a fortune. They are not quite mark one E type jags yet!!

This one is the first time I have painted and clear coated a car myself and it suffered from orange peel. That resulted in hours and hours of paint correction with 2000 grit plus a DA polisher using the Farecla compounds but worth it in the end. The whole paint job cost about £300 in materials and my time is of course free. A lot cheaper than the 3k I would probably have to spend but if i had to charge my time it would have been a disaster - the joys of a hobby.

I think the secret is to stop when its getting on your nerves then come back a week or two later.

i know this one inside out and I hope it will be part of the family long after the current 322 has gone.

Mike - registered new in Skipton, then Sheffield then I brought it from Stockton on Tees so not a million miles from your neck of the woods?

I remember these being huge when I were a lad. I remember seeing one with the VRN of MOO!!! which were 1's with screws below to look like dots. I followed it in my 1.3L Capri in silver fox, well some of it was, most of the paint was on the floor! Blimey, just went back there for a while!
Good old days and lovely to see your hard work turned into something so stunning. Well done mate. Thumbs Up
