I hitched up a trailer today (first time) and noticed the lights on the trailer were flashing.

All the lights functioned as normal, say when indicating and braking etc, but for some reason the lights flashed continually when not braking or indicating.

Trailer is not mine but is confirmed ok on another vehicle and the plug and socket are in good condition

Any ideas.

I was thinking maybe something in the Ye olde Car figuration file, but thought I’d see if someone had experienced this before I start messing around 2007 3.6 TDV8

just a guess but does the trailer have led lights...i’m sure i read on here somewhere that these are not compatable with early FF’s.. ... - .- -.

Yep. LEDs 2007 3.6 TDV8

Easy fix with some ballast resistors wired into the trailer loom will fix this. Had to do it on a couple of our trailers with LED lights Current Fleet:-
