It still impresses me how much outside temp affects mileage. During winter with temps below freezing I struggle to break 18.2 MPG U.S. on a common 300 mile trip I do. Once over 60F I can break 20 MPG with less effort and 21 when it gets closer to 80F. Air density has a bigger affect than expected. |

16mpg, 2001 4.0 P38, and that is driving quite steadily. |

I've only just bought my '08 3.6 TDV8 and it's my first RR but I have to say 600 miles in with no motorway running (daily 22 mile commute on country and urban roads, one 140 mile round trip on A roads) I'm actually quite happy to see so far I'm averaging 27.5 mpg (according to the car, not my own calculations)

22.6 is very good from a 5.0 S/C - mainly motorway driving?

Managed 39mpg on a run from Kent to Newcastle in my Westie 4.4 TDV8. Couldn't believe it myself so had to take a snap.
