The first time in over 30 years I've had a failure. Not a big fail parking brake below efficiency, that now becomes a major fail under the new rules. I only went to book a test and they said now so in it went. Did not do my pre test checks and I forgot that the brake is next to useless, never use it anyway.

I will remove and inspect as a matter of course. Seen some scary pictures of fragmented brake material.

Thanks Joe90. I had 2004 in my head, some things stay there. The dust is still nasty. |

2004 was the date for fitting new pads with asbestos to classic vehicles - pre 1973 - but not any more |
