HID Exploded - No Comms / Diagnostics

Hi, I have an issue with my 04 L322 where I can no longer communicate with any ECUs using Auto Logic. I can communicate to a couple (Engine, AT) via OBD (Foxwell and Autel).

Having read some threads on similar issues, it seems that the Left Hand HID having exploded (literally - the glass has gone boom) is the cause.

Has anyone else had this issue, and more importantly, does anyone know a fix?!

Any help appreciated.

I just found this old post of mine and thought I should answer it for completeness for anyone doing a search for the problem.

It turns out that it was the steering angle sensor. And it is not just my car. It was the steering angle sensor on other L322s too...

Hopefully this can help someone and save them days and days of work!
