It's rather unbelievable this vehicle is actually being sold, let along publically on ebay.

A Cat A, B or C can be put back on the road as long as a VIC check has been performed. Remember that this is only the category that the Ins Co deside to label the car as.

Actually looks like a nice S/C but I would want to speak to the Insurance Company to get the reason it was Cat B Write Off. |

It all depends on the price really doesnt it. Personally I would buy it if I could save about 20%. At the end of the day the car will dry out, and yes Scarey - you may laugh but the amount of water the AC can pull out of a car is massive, after all if your house floods you use a de-humidifier... On a humid day if the car is parked and running with the AC on there is a near constant stream of water dripping out of the drain tubes.

I'd still say be very cautious. Last year i bought (knowingly) a cat b audi a3 tdi. lovely car, rung the dvla before purschase as i was under impression cat b was break for spares only. They said rules changed and all fine. Applied for log book and several months (7 in total- on going battle) later they wouldn't issue one and said it needed to registered as a q plate.
