L405 - Brake warning message

My 4.4 V8 diesel, 2014, is showing"brakes Worn" message on the dash. It doesn't say which end of the car is affected though! I want to order the parts, but before I do was wondering of anyone knows how to find out which end it is complaining about? Without removing the wheels preferably! 2014 SDV8 L405 Autobiography. not sure that the warnings light discerns which pads (front versus rear) have worn down - I think it's a case of using the good old mark 1 eyeball to look at which set of pads looks the thinest (dont forget to check both sides of the disk as sometimes wear is uneven)
