ULEZ and FFRR

I am considering a L322 but live in the new ULEZ zone come 2020 or whenever it is extended.

When i put in reg plates from 4.4l TDV8s from 2011 ish in the online car checker for ULEZ it says they conform and theres no need to do anything, and yet I believe they are Euro 5 compliant, not Euro 6 as apparently required by ULEZ.

Anyone shed any light on this please?

I have seen that thread, however when you put reg numbers into the online government checker for ULEZ they say they are fine. Which is a touch confusing.

The database the online checker uses is full of errors, but it is being amended (one Euro 4 petrol I have was previously showing as not compliant; now it is).

If it’s diesel and not Euro 6, it’s not compliant.
