Shall it look like this under an MY18?

I was changing to winter tires yesterday and took at the same time a look under the car. Just curious if it shall look like this or if some protection covers is missing on mine MY18. Second two pic shows unprotected cables and connections just behind the towbar, first two pics show an “empty” part in the center of the car. Looks a bit strange and I can’t remember that my MY17 had this empty space...

Mine is exactly the same. I find it hard to believe that this car wades 800mm of water and yet all the electronics are exposed under the car....

Very good question. I see lots of Range Rovers going off road without problem. I myself have taken mine to a few off road centres and tested the true capability.. and up until I burst a tyre because of the 22inch wheels, all was going very well. As for deep water, I have never ventured into any deep water as yet.

My worry with those pics would not be water, but the chance of a stray log or rock smacking something underneath and causing damage or pulling out a wire if snagged on a branch.

Problem is with under body protection it then traps the mud and dirt and needs regular cleaning out
