My fave family resort where we have been for the last few years is Les Arcs 1950. I feel although I love the place I want to take the family somewhere new.

However the replacement destination would have to have:

Bookable Parking
No cars in the village
Ski in ski out
Not an hotel - self catering apartments
Decent drive from Lyon
Good standard
Large piste area
Lots of lifts
Good range from beginners to expert runs

Hmm.......

Avoriaz?

We used to go to Belle Plagne a lot - nice little village, not exactly far from Les Arcs if you want to pop back over, but at least a change of scene.

Have heard good things of Avoriaz👍🏻 It will go on the shortlist.

Belle plagne is also nice but late season the snow can be iffy. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
