DSP or no DSP???

About to install an android head unit and trying to fathom out if I need to bypass the infamous "DSP" amp??? All sorts of loose wiring in the boot and no sign of a sub in behind the wheel arch so can anyone offer good advice on this???? Pics attached of head unit not showing any "DSP" what not. Loose wires are apparently to do with a phone unit which is not present, a fakra cable just floating about - Different sites saying plug and play without DSP, and from what the head unit shows, there's no DSP??? Other sites and fellows saying it has DSP ??? HEEEELLLLLLP

Pic with the bar code is the amp which is apparently a LEAR Amp ??

Oh, vehicle is a 2002 HSE 4.4 V8

The wiring is for a phone module -- large black plug, and the coax plug.

the DSP is a big black unit closer to the tailgate than the silver box in the pics -- the sub is above the wheel arch further forward than the silver box!

hope that helps Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

had another look. no sign of a sub around the wheel arch and pics of the complete set up in the boot. Is the big black box beneath the GPS disk drive the DSP??

I have to admit, I've not done that myself, you may need an adapter of sorts from the new head unit to the loom, but yes, that should be all! Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
