Parking guide lines faulty

While I'm on hear posing about my running problem I might as well ask this.

The lines on the parking camera don't move.

I've checked the codes and done a recalibration process but I'm still getting a code for

Invalid information from angle sensor?

Do we think it a duff sensor?

Are you sure it's the same system as on my old xf and they moved on that. As you turn the wheel the move to indicate where the car will go.

I think Stan is correct in this case.

Somewhere I seem to recall reading about trailer assist, which has one set of the lines moving to predict where the trailer is going. May be L405 only

Found something

Stan is correct - I recently sold my 2011 and the lines never moved on that either - it was the only question the new owner came back to me on! 2016 (L405) Autobiography in Black with Ivory - for ULEZ
2014 (L405) VSE in Black with Ivory
2011 (L322) VSE in Black with Ivory
2005 (3.2 V6) Porsche Cayenne in Black with Savanna
1999 (P38) VSE in Burgundy (?) with Sand

They do move on cars equipped with the surround camera pack!

Cars with only a reversing camera have static lines...

Ok that's interesting. They might as well not be there if they don't move.
Strange that they don't when the same infotainment system in the jag did on a 59 plate.
It can only be a software thing. Anyway so long as it's not a fault I'm not fussed

They have two different camera's. Cars equipped with the camera pack, you can zoom in/out and change views. That camera has a big plug and a data link, whereas cars with just a basic reversing cam have 4 wires 2 power & 2 ariel...

So NO you cannot make the lines move on a basic car through a software update...
