Axle casings

Hi all,
I’m in the process of restoring my 1973 2dr and at present I’m looking to start fitting the new suspension before the engine and gearbox go back in.
However before I fit the new shocks and springs I would like to paint up the axle casings and would welcome any suggestions on what’s best to use to try and give that ‘from factory’ look?

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave -

I'm restoring a '93 two door presently & have used POR 15 on the rear chassis so far.
It brushes on & "self levels" giving a superb finish - I used their satin black.
There are pro & cons of paint v powder coat (the latter not an option for me), but I'm glad I went down this route.

Good luck !
Paul Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?

thanks guys I'll take a look at that. Do either of you plan on clear wax oiling your vehicles afterwards?
