hi guys. been following the forum for a while now and i thought its time for my 1st question.
i have a 06 td6 se and would like to replace the halogen head lights with xenon ones.

morning saj and welcome ...i think you need the complete headlight unit and the washers for the lights that go in th ebumper ,xenons are required to have a wash facility be it wipers or wash jets....the connections will probably be different as well..theres always the option of upgrading to a 2010 front end. hi bud. have the washers built into the bumpers already.
did think about the 2010 upgrade but i dont the her indoors will give me her blessing! Laughing
it is something i will be thinking about in the future but i thought if i could do the xenon conversion for a fair price i would go down that route first and maybe the 2010 conversion in a year or so when the novelty has worn off, and the prices have dropped!
thanks
saj Thumbs Up

got to admit these conversions are very expensive tbh...if you know someone with a 2006 onwards FFRR with xenons, it might be an idea to 'check' out their setup and see if the connectors are the same [or not] .

edit..i recall DAN having some xenons for sale , no doubt he will be along soon to confirm if he has and how easy it'll be to retro fit... ... - .- -.

The light units will just swap right in.

You need to find a pair that are not "adaptive" because this may add an extra layer of complexity with the plug pins.

I wonder whether the plugs will just work strait on the Bi-Xenon unit with no additional wiring. The only additional circuit these lights have is the "shutter" for the xenon lamp (pins 5&6) which you will currently be missing I guess? But probably mussing it form the light rather than the plug?

Can you take a photo of the BACK (leave it plugged in to the light) of your light plug and post it up so I can see what wires you have?
