Hi,
You need a program called P.A Soft 1.40. It comes with a dongle to connect to your laptop and Range Rover and is available on eBay and the web. I would say to be careful of Chinese copies that may or may not work as advertised and may need the dongle reconfigured, but have a look on the web there’s plenty on there about this.
All you have to do is navigate to the instrument panel and rewrite your VIN, it’s as simple as that.
I would caution you that if your replacement instrument panel has an indicated mileage higher than your original then all of the ecu’s that hold mileage will be overwritten with the higher mileage. Alternatively if the replacement has lower mileage then after a period of driving, I’ve been told somewhere in the region of 500 to 1000 miles, the new panel will change over to your original mileage and match the ecu’s holding mileage in the car.
Good luck ______________________________
