Electrical gremlins in window

2003 M62 V8 L322. This is either a simple fix that someone will know about or so complicated to find it isn't worth the bother! When you operate the rear window locking switch on the drivers door (to unlock position), the rear nearside window goes down of its own accord. It then will not respond to any of the ordinary window operating switches. It will only work if you re-lock the lock switch and operate the normal lift switch on the drivers door. Any ideas? Could smiply be a faulty lock switch I guess, all suggestions gratefully received. Drives:

that switch panel does get wet easily so i would take it out and have a look at the connections for oxidation..other than that , replace it. .
