This was the one, but there are loads similar. Note it's an FM transmitter - pick a frequency on your radio with nothing on it. Sounds pretty good (well, as good as the FM radio does). It does phone calls too, but I don't use that - would rather hide it away in the cubby.

So, to-do list on my Bournville...

- Replace one of the tailgate supports. One is damaged, took a look today, tophat bush has fallen apart and it no longer folds away properly when you shut the lower tailgate - hence the damage.

- Sort the mudflaps/lower wing panels. They're poorly fitted, noticed one of the panels rubs on the door and has taken a bit of paint off. I'd remove the flaps, but family like the steps.

- Rear discs pretty corroded. Still seem to work ok, but I'll prob replace discs and pads.

- Get to know the local indy, service and check over.

Not too bad at all. 2008 3.6 TDV8 Vogue Bournville

Sorting the tailgate supports this afternoon.

Has anyone got lower tailgate supports like this on their L322? I've put on a pair of new ones, sold as genuine LR ones. The new RHS one has this different bolt with a ball on it, I assume to keep the rubber boot in place. But the left one doesn't have this, it's just the same as the old ones.

Also, the right one is now shorter (slightly) than the left - so if I stand on the tailgate it will twist. Something's not right.

Later 322s have a damper on the right and it fixes on to the ball. Maybe you have a mismatch between the supports etc and that accounts for the different lengths, as they should obviously be the same and the tailgate should be level. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Thanks. So not needed on mine, unless I do the damper upgrade. Doesn't explain the different lengths though. I'll try and return both these and order two of the standard supports. 2008 3.6 TDV8 Vogue Bournville

Just taken them off again to double-check as it's bugging me Smile Started wondering if my lower tailgate was crooked or something. Old knackered one at the top. Below is the LR replacement (part LR038051). Def 10mm longer than the original one. Weird.

Hello, spotted this tread and thought it maybe a good place to ask - how purple does Bournville Brown look in reality? (If at all).

You need sunlight, then stand at the right angle to catch the sunlight reflecting off the car, then squint, with any luck you will see it in browny purple Smile All throughout my ownership of a "Bourneville" I had to work hard to convince people that it was not black. Thumbs Up .

Good to know! I have spotted a Bournville L322 but I live quite far from it so wanted an opinion on the colour.

When clean and in bright sunlight mine has a deep red component but as it's mostly quite dirty others think that it's black.

Ok great, I like the idea of brown, less so of purple!

In the right light it looks stunning; as others have said there is a reddish colour but also a deep chocolatey (hence the name!) The challenge is to get right light. In cloudy GB, it mostly looks black. I had a Bournville RRSand the colour really suited it.

Hi,

I think it is one of the best colours going, Thumbs Up along with an Ivory interior Cool

but its a colour that does not photograph well, it needs to be seen in the flesh then decide,
a friend has had their horse box sprayed in it but its more brown dont think they got the metallic element quiet right Question

Thumbs Up
