England 2015 Range Rover SVAutobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

Si, i bought a complete black kit from PowerfulUK as i wanted to keep my original silver kit for when i sell the car... My last RR i sold to a member on here opted for it to all go back to factory silver trims! We all have a different taste and what you like another may not?

I went the whole hog and did black everything and am VERY happy with the finished article. The only job left is to have my roof wrapped and again, because its wrapped, its not permanent Thumbs Up

The Hawke kit is also on PowerfulUK, and they are very good on after sales service.

Thanks for all the comment and suggestions

I've just heard back from a local wrapping company who can take off. wrap and refit all my original trim for £550 so I'm tempted to do this ( just saves me doing any work LOL )

I'm also visiting a couple of body shops over the weekend who are looking for about £300ish to paint everything but one of the guys said " in my experience respraying over a chrome finish isn't straightforward and requires special etch primers and even then I've known the paint flake off after a couple of years" so thats put me off the spraying idea a little

Then there is the 3rd Party kit which requires a little work from me and might end up not changing the Air Intake grills or Door Handles....

Decisions decisions

I'll report back ( and have pictures once I've sorted this

Si

Might sound odd but maybe inform your insurance company as some class this as a modification and might play hard ball in the event of a big claim. Seems a young chap painted his Fiesta wheels black then had a bump and his insurance co wouldn’t pay up as he’d modified his car and not told them.

So, after much deliberation and going back and forth about the best option I decided a couple of weeks ago to buy the none OEM kit from the site sponsor. My plan was to install it all myself minus the fog grills ......but due to a whole bunch of issues with the car ( we bought it site unseen from a main dealer ) and the salesman we dealt with out right lying to us the dealer business manager picked up the car, did all the work , put all the missing items in the car and installed the whole black pack for us 👍🏻 Bonus

It was due to be back to us today but when the dealer was fixing something to do with the boot they damaged the new boot black strip

so had to order a new one to replace it so I have an oem boot trim 😂

Anyway here are the pics
