Apparently the Jaguar Supercharged V8 will soon be replaced by a twin turbo BMW engine.
I'm allergic to turbocharged engines and much prefer a supercharger with no lag.

if it's like the M5 engine then according to Clarkson there's no discernible lag

I am in exactly the same place and wanting to pull the trigger on a green SVA Dynamic but holding off for a new engine/model.

I would be surprised if the L460 is delivered to customers much before 3 years from now which means they will need a new engine for the last couple of years of production as the AJV8 production stops soon. This would be similar to them putting the 5.0 in the L322 for the last couple of years. Maybe they will announce a new engine for MY2020 in a few months for now so that would mean that any order placed now would likely be delivered with a new engine.

Problem with the next generation is that the entire line up will be hybrid and that will be another source of potential problems for next to no benefit unless you live in town.
