Pics of the base of mine (2011MY). You are on the right track, probably just awkward with the seat out of the car and doing it yourself.

Good point Graeme. Forgot that as mine are in the car and you can't move the backs until the seat is at least part way down.

Thank you very much. Big help on the folding .. I was fairly sure they need to be in the car or several people holding them all at once to make it work.
