United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Vogue SDV8 Corris Grey

I got bored with Clarkson, Hammond and May as it went from a reasonable car program in the early years to a boys day out each week with never ending power slides which they seem to think is the be all and end all of a car along with as much BHP as possible . I initially though May was going to be above all that as the sensible one, but he soon dropped into the required mould, although any other program that he is in on his own tends to be very watchable and I look out for the ones he does namely about cars and toys. The current 3 appear to be trying to emulate their predecessors unfortunately for me, but as said earlier, many people like the Clarkson format, but unfortunately I'm not one of them. I do as many others here, record it every week and fast search to the interesting bits. This weeks wasn't bad with the new 911 GT2 RS being tested. Will be interesting to see how the 2 new presenters do next series. Steve

I also got bored with JC RH and JM and I rather like Matt le Blanc, Chris Harris and of course Sabine when she puts in an appearance. I still watch James May stuff but it probably doesn't help that I think JC and RH are talentless Censored - and on that bombshell see you next week. Geoff

There is another three good reasons not to watch.

I watched it. Was dire. Others may like it, but I felt that Flintoff came across as a bit of a dick.

It’s a good job we are all different.

I watched the first New top gear when Evans joined, was not for me, watched no more. Until last night.

I watched the three current presenters and found it funny and alright to watch.

Missing the glue the original presenters managed to bring to the package, but watchable without being cringe worthy.

Will watch next week and see how it goes.

Give it a go, it’s okay.

I watched it and found it funny, may not be a wholehearted recommendation but there are a lot worse things on telly. Coming from Chorley (lies between Bolton and Preston) maybe I have the bond with Freddy and Paddy. Geoff

It was interesting listening to BBC radio today about how well the new series has been received!

Of course, there's no suggestion of desperation or self-promotion on the BBC's part! Whistle

Funny, but I remember the same positive BBC comments being espoused when Beaker was heading up "Top Shouting".

I stopped watching when JC, RH and JM left. Maybe it was puerile entertainment, but I was entertained! Thumbs Up

Mike

If you don’t think of it as a “serious’ car based programme, you’ll be fine.
I found it quite funny. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

A Trap

I liked it, much better than previous incarnations post JC.

Harris has a good rep doing YouTube videos for years and think there was a chemistry between them. Early days.

Personally, I could not stand Le Balnc, but he was probably chosen to appease the North American market.

Love them or hate them, Clarkson, May & Hammond worked very well together - the Broken Biscuit Company will be very lucky to re-create that formula, maybe they should not even try.

I've tried, but it just does nor work for me thesedays. 2003 Range Rover Vogue TD6
