Ticking noise?

I have just noticed that there is a ticking / clicking noise coming from the rear near side of my vehicle whilst stationary.

Is this the fuel pump or should I be worried? 🤨

Jim

Jim

I think it will be the fuel pump for the FBH (auxiliary heater), assuming you have it fitted on yours. The pump for it is in the rear by the fuel tank and does make a tick tock noise which, on mine, can be heard a tickover.

There are lots of threads about this heater, have a search. Cheers

I had started the car whilst upgrading the interior lights to LED’s

I was crouched by the R/N/S door replacing the lamp in the bottom of the door when I first heard it. You can’t hear it with the doors closed and engine running.

I think I know why I can hear mine. I've got the load space cover out, pretty much permanently since buying the FF.

Jim

Not to hijack your thread Smile , but would you mind posting up the interior bullbs and suppliers for me/us? Cheers

RJ

I did buy a kit from EBay which was supposedly for a 2005 L322, only to find most of the bulbs didn’t fit.

I have some more arriving today so once I have fitted them and there are no faults thrown up I will share the details.

LED really has lifted the interior. See the below photo. Before I started upgrading all the interior lights were the same colour as the knee level entry lights.
