Unsettled suspension

So, I’ve had the car for a few months now and a few gremlins have been chased away.

However, the ride quality does not seem to be as I remember it being when I bought the car. The suspension does not feel supple, there’s a choppy, unsettled, almost undamped feel-not the smooth ride that I remember when I collected it.

Since I’ve had the vehicle I have had the wiring looms on the front turrets done (so no longer got the DSC fault) and had new front tyres and the tracking done. Could these changes have contributed to the change in feel? Or could driving it with the DSC fault have changed the setup some how? Or is the problem likely to be more mechanical?

Where’s the best place to start fault finding? I have an IID tool So could run a calibration if needed.

The confounding factor is that I’m driving to Denmark next Saturday-so any help would be greatly appreciated to avoid a less than comfortable trip.

Thanks 2010 Bournville Vogue

United Kingdom

check them tyre pressures , they should be 33psi....you could try around 31/32 for a little comfort...

That was my first port of call. They are all now 33 (were higher) but that didn’t change things much. 2010 Bournville Vogue

I find mine is really wallowy on bends and corners. It's slightly better with DSC switched off, but not much.

I'm tempted to try recalibrating it as GraemeS (I think) has done, but I suspect that I really need new dampers all round and they're really not cheap on these!"

I run my tyres at the recommended pressures and the ride is ok on my 21s. Wouldn't reducing them make it even more wallowy? 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE
