4.2 ibus?

Hi all I am contemplating upgrading to a less miled 2005 4.2 sc. I know this shares quite a bit with the 4.4 bmw one however does it still run a partial ibus network on it like the final td6 setup? Just curious how it all works and if a decent infotainment can be fitted. Thanks Current stable:

Hi there,

How good is it do you get Bluetooth and Bluetooth audio and iPod integration? Only reason I ask is my 4.4 with Ibus has an awesome setup in it from the late bmws the nbt but it relies on ibus and the can. I was wondering if any of this was left in the 4.2

That being the downside, it’s a difficult job to get integrated audio from a phone into the Most system.

The phone BT works ok, but music is a different thing. You could get the LR iPod kit installed, and then put a tune2air on the end of that (it might work) but short of that it’s a matter of putting some sort of receiver or player into the aux input in the back.

it’s not the most upgradable system, 2010> are a bit better but still need a bit of jiggery pokery. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

with later models you do get mp3 CD and Aux In (some have had volume issues with Aux In) .

Ok cool so is there any ibus left in the system at all? I could then use the nbt head unit as it has a most output? Current stable:
