Voice command & no Sat Nav directions

When I press the voice command button initially, It shows listening on the dash accompanied by the bleep. I can request the display off which it does, but that's it & if I repress I only have a command cancel displayed.

It will not allow any help function or further request. Also I have no voice guidance from the Sat Nav now. Switching the ignition off resets the operation again, but only the same sequence. Still no voice guidance.

I have swapped the steering wheel control switch, just in case this was the issue, but it's exactly the same.

Has anyone else had this issue or have any ideas. This appears to be a gradual decline, as it all worked fine in the first instance Big Cry

Right! Censored. It gets worse. Unable to access CD, TV or phone from the touch screen.
Initial display states that I need to push the audio on button although the radio is playing & power light is illuminated.

It appears that the phone is working, as the call is being received on the dialed number.

As the touch screen is operating as it should, I'm beginning t think that the issue may be with the Sat Nav unit or the integrated head unit.

Any help would be appreciated, prior to dismantling or spending unnecessary money Bow down

I take it at 2005 you'll be running MOST, the fibre optic system?

I'd start by removing the bluetooth module fibres and join them together with BIC pen Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Yes it's the MOST system. I was going to have another dabble this weekend, just to confirm that all the connections are good, I'll try that aswell. Thanks for the advise.

Connecting the optic cables get's everything working again except the Navigation & phone sound.

TV, CD & radio are all fine. Although sometimes I get the MAP DVD error. the Sat Nav worked well today (obviously minus the sound).
Connected the blue tooth module back up, as the light was being emitted from the unit & cable, all connections are good. Pressing the speech command allows the display to be turned off, but that's about it.
The phone book still contains all contacts & steering wheel controls allows these to be selected.

I'm looking more towards the blue tooth module being the culprit after reading other threads on here. Has the firmware got corrupted after the battery disconnection?.

Upgrade to the 2010 unit?.
