Fuel pump maybe? If it's turning over but not firing. There is a secondary pump under a hatch towards the back of the passenger side, if you open the hatch is the pump making any noise? Might be worth an "attitude adjustment" with a hammer if you can't hear anything, (maybe check the fuses first!)

Good luck! Formerly happymadison1978

I've fuses and swooped relay , will check if I can hear pumps next . Sounds big money if it's the pump.

It's not too pricey, and there are cheap options but in my experience they don't run at all quietly. Having said that you can get one for £30 if money is tight and then swap out in a couple of months.

Get the ignition to II and get under the passenger side rear, you should be able to hear the pump whirring away. If not, give the whole case a few smacks with something hard. That kept me going for 6 months until I fixed it, but it's a really simple job
