Question for PHEV owners

I had to brake sharply at the weekend, and the front grill flap that covers the plug socket opened. I then had to stop to close it again.

It made me wonder whether there is a latch that is missing on mine? I don't have to squeeze anything, I just pull open the flap - is this the case for others? 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

Ah, thanks for replying. Good news I guess! At least I don't have to get it fixed...

PS nice colour car - mine is the same Balmoral Blue - love it! 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

It should lock when the car is locked, else it’s loosey-goosey.

The plug locks when the car is locked, but the flap definitely doesn't (my car was locked when I braked, so I guess it can't be secured).

I've not tried the flap when the car is locked and the cable isn't plugged in - is this what you mean? 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

The cynic in me thinks maybe it wasn’t properly closed at the journey’s start... I think that would be a good test, ie with car on and locked on drive-away, can the flap be interfered with.
