Dumb questions, but what powers the illumination? How easy to fit?

Connectors are already there, just take up the old tread plates and plug new ones in

Book time is 42 minutes

The tread plates just clip in, but the surrounding trims need removing/lifting. Not a bad job to be fair

what if the car hasn’t got the illuminated treads already. Is the loom/plug still there?

My first L405 was a standard 2013 vogue and the connectors were there to install the illuminated tread plates
