Fitting a deployable tow bar, does it need programming?

Hello

Want to fit a deployable tow bar to my 2013 FFRR autobiography. When I source one and fit it, does the car have to be reprogrammed to make it work or are they plug and play.

I know they come with their own ECU and wiring loom etc but does the car need to be told it’s there and to power it etc

Also please contact me if you or anyone you know have one for sale.
