DSP Problem Solved

Some background info. We went away in Feb for a few weeks and left the FF with valet parking. All worked well however got back on arrival and noticed the radio was intermittent. As we drove home it became more so and finally stopped working altogether. My initial thoughts were abuse by the valet parking drivers, however I checked the dash cam footage and apart from being parked on the top floor of another multi-storey at Heathrow everything looked fine.

After a few weeks of silence I decided to investigate. The radio was still tuning, changing channel etc so I assumed it was an amp problem. I checked to fuses all ok so then set about dismantling the DSP amp.
Here is what I found.

So after checking the capacitor and removing the connector I decide to try the simple solution and simply replacing the burnt out via on the PCB with a wire.
Hey presto - sound.

All working fine now. I can only presume there must have been some damp ingress and corrosion of the copper which caused it to overheat and burn out.
