Land Rover Owner Show 2019 - 14 & 15 September

I haven’t been to a show in years so I’m looking to go to this later in the year. Has anyone been before and do you have any tips? I seen that the forum doesn’t have itself down as a club for the show, do people normally make an effort for it or are there other shows?

Thanks
Dave

verydisco is your man Thumbs Up

He’s tried before and there are a few takers, but not great interest TBH.

I’m away again this year, which is a shame as I live fairly close by.

I might be interested in going if there are a few folk getting together and going in convoy.

I went to it a couple of years ago. There’s plenty to see and enjoy if you like Land Rovers. If you’re hoping for Range Rovery type stuff like I was, then you’re likely to be dissppointed. 2006MY 4.2 SC
BMW R1250 GSA Rallye TE
Triumph Tiger 1050 (sold)
1979 Pontiac Trans Am (sold)

Good to know. I’m happy to admit I have little interest in off reading. I’ve done it before but my car will hopefully never leave the road

Peterborough show is the best of the shows throughout the year now as Billing (Kelmarsh) is a dead loss, Billing Off Road show is poor and Driffield was so poor it was not worth the traders turning up!

Some good stands and traders attend and there is usually a D3/4 stand there (one of Martin's sister sites) who are not a bad bunch but never seen a FFRR stand over the 10 years I have been going.

Camping aint bad but over the last couple of years there has been quite a bit of theft from traders and cars in the car parks so be careful - seems like some of the scumbags from Billing are popping over Rolling Eyes

Well worth a visit and the arena is very good especially at night Thumbs Up "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you.

Indeed the LRO show is the best LR show x Far.

I did try to gather members a while back, but it seems owners simply show up and visit, no gathering really.

That said, just as last year, this year the Range Rover Owners club (not the Register), mainly focused on L322s, will again have a stand and they have been very good at promoting the L322 and 405s.
