Bassy vibration with sound system.

Hi my speakers seem to have this buzzy bass distortion, seems especially bad from bottom front drivers door, improves with balance set fully to n/s.. Is the door card a pain to get off to examine the speaker? Common problem with speaker being loose or speaker likely to be fubared? Thanks for any info peeps. I have similar but haven't investigated yet. Not bad enough to trouble me but does rear its head on certain tracks. Will watch this thread with interest. 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

Blown speaker, door card easy to get off, a little more fiddly to get back on , hardest part is making sure you detach all the electrical connectors properly , and on re assembly getting the top black plastic channel of the card seated correctly against the window , on a hardness scale its a 3 out of 10

Also worth checking your sub hasn't shaken free from it's bolts. Mine used to do this regularly - in the end I used loctite on the bolts! Land Rover Addict

Bottom speaker in the drivers door is def faulty, slightest touch of the cone while sound playing causes buzzzzzz/distortion.
Taken it out while I get a replacement, I see new harmon kardon speakers are circa £60.00 Shocked
There are a few on ebay that physically seem identical, same shape, holes etc with same wiring plug but maybe not harmon kardon for £15...surely be OK dya think? Thanks. Thumbs Up 2008 L322 Vogue 3.6 TDV8 in Java Black with parchment and Navy interior. 125000mls.

Had the exact same problem with mine. Only my problem speaker was the front passenger bottom speaker. I bought a full set of speakers off ebay for 90 qiud and replaced said speaker. Its now perfect. Tony

Cheers I don't need a full set, just need to know if I can put a non harmon kardon speaker in as they seem physically the same. I'm not an audiophile.. as long as I can hear my Barry Manilow music... Laughing 2008 L322 Vogue 3.6 TDV8 in Java Black with parchment and Navy interior. 125000mls.

Not too sure. But you're welcome to have the said speaker. it's no use to me. I did some checking when mine blew and was told that LR build to a price and that a lot of very low voltage and small wires are used. so it's difficult to replace with aftermarket without upsetting the BCU and the head unit.
That's what I was told .I could have been told a pack of u no what!. if you want the speaker it's yours but obviously cNt guarantee it.

Hi there,

Anyone could share a resource on how to take off/put back on the door card/panel? Have the same problem and sounds I need to replace a speaker or two.

Thanks,
A.

I had the same issue with my two rear door woofers.

Turned out the face of the cone had detached from the plate that it mounts too, decent bead of hot glue found the centre of the cone and they’ve been fine since
