Right hand front height sensor

Today I replaced the front right hand side height sensor after having an air suspension failure on the dash last week when I was coming home.

I have an icarsoft scanner which identified the front right hand side sensor had failed. I ordered a new height sensor and knew the car would need recalibration so also purchased the btiid tool from Duckworths.

After fitting the sensor today I set about clearing the faults then proceeded with a guided height recalibration using the iid tool. On completion all appeared ok and the car was sitting level.

I then tried the different height and firstly put it into access mode. Immediately on the dash I saw the message ‘extended mode selected remove obstacle’ however it oddly displayed the same message when put into extended height.

I tried the process again but kept seeing the same message, by this point I was also seeing a message that the compressor was getting hot. I had a look on the forum and saw a previous post which stated the height lowering could be down to an exhaust issue on the pump so filter removed and hole drilled as per a previous post but this didn’t help the height or the pump overheating issues.

I’m suspicious I may have a faulty height sensor as the height values remains at 0 for the new sensor, when the other three on the iid screen move up or down when adjusting the heights for their corners.

Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated I’ve spent hours today trying to figure this out and feel no further forward at this point. Current: 16 my2016 Range Rover l405 4.4 sdv8 Aruba gold & 11 MY2011 RANGE ROVER L322 4.4 TDV8 ZERMATT SILVER
